Who Should Apply for the
Leadership Westmoreland Program?

Leadership Westmoreland seeks program participants representing all sectors of the community including business, health care, social service, government, labor, education, professional services, industry, and individuals. 

You do not need to be a CEO, President, or a business leader to participate.  Leadership Westmoreland seeks individuals who want to "make a difference" - people seeking to improve the Westmoreland County community where they live, work, and play.  Participants must be interested in and available for community service opportunities, and be concerned about improving our area's quality of life.

Leadership Westmoreland Class V

Participants could include a mother with small children, a local college student, a bank manager, or company owner - any of whom have a strong commitment to the Westmoreland County Community and the intent to contribute time and experience.

Participant selection is based on criteria including:

• Demonstrated leadership skills or potential
• Firm commitment to the Westmoreland County Community
• Sincere intent to contribute time and expertise to community enhancement.

Applicants must be 21 years old or older and live, or work in Westmoreland County.

Applications can also be obtained by contacting any participating Chamber of Commerce.

Completed applications must be submitted to the same address by August 1st.

A selection committee will review materials of all applicants, conduct interviews and choose participants on the basis of criteria noted earlier. Notification of selection will be made in August/September.
